Do I, the author retain copyright under a Read & Publish agreement?

Answer

Yes, in most cases the author will retain their copyright when publishing Open Access. When publishing Open Access, authors may choose to publish under various Creative Commons licences. The availablility of license types depends on each publisher, so check the relevant agreement.

For an explanation of licenses and license types, see Creative Commons licenses

UTS recommends publishing under a CC-BY licence which is the most permissible.
