Q. Why can’t I access my eBook on VitalSource?


VitalSource eBooks have limited access and limited loan periods which vary between publishers (between 2 and 24 hours).

Titles are checked out until the loan period expires or they are returned. If you can’t access a title, please try again later.

It is recommended to Print/save to PDF an allowable portion of the book, then Return the book to free up access for other users.


To return a book in VitalSource:

  1. Click on the left facing arrow at the top left hand side of the screen.
  2. Select Return.


  1. Click on the “Borrowed Items” button in the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Select Return.
