Do I need to put in page numbers if I’m paraphrasing?

Answer

Generally, unless you are studying a FASS subject or having been instructed by your lecturer, you don’t need to use page numbers when paraphrasing.

However, if you feel that it would be helpful to put a page number in for some text you are paraphrasing, then that is allowed in APA referencing. This can be especially useful if you are paraphrasing from a text with a large number of pages, like a book.
