How do I find a book?

Answer

In the Library catalogue, each book will have a location such as "Open Collection" and a call number such as 746.920902 WATS. Call numbers indicate which section a book is in, the letters that follow tell you where on the shelf the book is. For books listed as Open Collection, click on the "Locate it" button to view a floor plan that contains these shelves. There will be a red pin which indicates which shelf the book is located on.

For books/items listed as Reserve, browse the Reserve room located on level 7 using the call number to locate the book.

For books listed as Library Retrieval System, you need to request the item, and you will then be notified when it is ready for pick up on Level 7.

For more detail, view the instructions on the Borrowing, Renewals, Fines and Access page.
If you are unable to find the book on the shelf and it says Available in the catalogue, Contact the Library either through Chat or by speaking to a Library staff member.
